Mansion Sports - Manchester City has taken decisive action to ensure the continuity of its defensive core by extending the contract of centre-back Rúben Dias, according to a recent report from The Athletic. 

This move underscores the club’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a solid defensive foundation as it seeks to uphold its dominance in both domestic and European competitions.

Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium, Dias has played a pivotal role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola. 

The Portuguese international helped secure four consecutive Premier League titles and was instrumental in City’s historic treble in the 2022–23 season, which included lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy for the first time.
