Mansion Sports - After a prolonged and complex negotiation process, Napoli and Galatasaray have reached a full agreement regarding the permanent transfer of Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen.

The deal comes following Osimhen’s highly successful loan spell with the Turkish club during the 2024–2025 season.

During his time in Istanbul, Osimhen made an immediate impact, registering an outstanding 37 goals and eight assists across 41 appearances in all competitions. His remarkable form prompted Galatasaray to pursue a permanent deal with determination and urgency.

Galatasaray Activates €75 Million Release Clause

Galatasaray has agreed to activate the €75 million release clause stipulated in Osimhen’s contract with Napoli. 

While both clubs had already reached consensus on the fee as early as mid-July, the finalization of the transfer was delayed due to extended discussions concerning the payment structure and formal guarantees required by Napoli.

According to reports from Football Italia, the transfer has now been fully finalized. Galatasaray has committed to completing the total payment by the end of 2026, ensuring Napoli receives the full value of the agreement within the designated timeline.

Payment Structure Finalized Through 2026

Out of the total €75 million transfer fee, Galatasaray will make an initial payment of €40 million to Napoli. The remaining €35 million will be paid in installments, with all obligations to be fulfilled no later than the conclusion of 2026.

In addition to the fixed fee, Napoli is entitled to receive a performance-related bonus of up to €5 million, depending on Osimhen’s achievements and contributions while representing Galatasaray.

Napoli Inserts Sell-On Clause and Anti-Rival Provision

As part of the agreement, Napoli has strategically included a 10 percent sell-on clause. This ensures that if Galatasaray decides to sell Osimhen in the future, Napoli will receive 10 percent of the proceeds from that transfer.

A particularly notable feature of the contract is the inclusion of an ‘anti-Serie A clause,’ which explicitly prevents Osimhen from joining any of Napoli’s direct rivals in Italy’s Serie A for the next 24 months. 

This provision is seen as a deliberate move by the Napoli management to safeguard the club’s competitive interests within the domestic league.

With the deal now officially concluded, Victor Osimhen is set to continue his outstanding journey in Turkey with Galatasaray. 

Meanwhile, Napoli not only secures a lucrative financial outcome but also protects its long-term strategic position through carefully negotiated contractual clauses.
