Mansion Sports - Juventus have reportedly given Newcastle United a deadline to decide on the potential transfer of Dusan Vlahovic, as the Turin-based club continues efforts to offload the Serbian striker.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have granted Vlahovic 15 days to find a resolution regarding his future. 

Newcastle and Barcelona are both believed to be interested, though the player’s agent has suggested that remaining in Italy remains the most favorable option. 

The agent stressed the support Vlahovic enjoys from his coach and teammates, despite sections of the fanbase directing boos at him during pre-season matches.

Juventus Seeking Funds to Reshape Their Attack

Juventus general manager Damien Comolli is reportedly planning an overhaul of the club’s attacking department, with Vlahovic’s sale seen as a key move to generate funds for new signings.

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri was previously interested in reuniting with the striker. However, Vlahovic has informed the club that he is prepared to see out his contract, even if it means limited playing time throughout the season.

Juventus had earlier proposed a direct swap deal with Newcastle, offering Vlahovic in exchange for Sandro Tonali, but the offer was rejected. 

Despite securing Jonathan David on a free transfer, Juventus remain intent on signing Randal Kolo Muani, a player specifically requested by head coach Igor Tudor.

Other Transfer Obstacles Facing Juventus

Beyond the Vlahovic and Kolo Muani situations, Juventus are also navigating challenges in other transfer pursuits. 

The club has reached a personal agreement with Brighton midfielder Matt O’Riley, but the deal cannot progress until Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz is sold.

Awaiting the Striker’s Decision

Juventus are hoping Vlahovic will reconsider his stance and agree to a move that would boost the club’s finances. 

For now, the striker remains focused on evaluating all options before making what could be a defining decision for his career.
