Mansion Sports - Adrien Rabiot is officially on course to complete his move to AC Milan, with the French midfielder scheduled for medical tests on Monday morning before signing a four-year contract.

The transfer comes after Olympique Marseille accepted an offer worth €10 million, including performance-related bonuses.

Reunion with Massimiliano Allegri at San Siro

This move marks a reunion between Rabiot and head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who previously managed him during their years together at Juventus. 

Their past working relationship in Turin now transitions to Milan, bringing renewed optimism for both the player and the club.

Transfer Details and Contract Terms

According to leading outlets such as Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano, L’Equipe, and Footmercato, the transfer package for Rabiot totals €10 million with performance-based add-ons. The French international is set to commit to a four-year contract with the Rossoneri.

Since Rabiot is currently on international duty with the French national team, his medical examination will be conducted at the training camp under the supervision of Milan’s medical staff. The contract signing is also expected to take place in France.

Last-Minute Drama Before the Move

Transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà of Football Italia revealed that Rabiot’s agent and mother, Veronique Rabiot, had attempted to negotiate alternative destinations, including a potential move to Napoli for Champions League football. 

There were even renewed efforts to reopen talks with Marseille. However, Rabiot’s falling out in the dressing room with Jonathan Rowe, coupled with his initial refusal to apologize, made his position at Marseille untenable and accelerated his departure.

Impact on Milan’s Transfer Strategy

Rabiot’s arrival coincides with Yunus Musah’s loan move to Atalanta, which includes a €25 million purchase option that could become an obligation under certain conditions. 

This transaction created both the financial flexibility and the squad space necessary for Milan to secure Rabiot’s signature.
